Hispanics and Latinos in ECE – Secretary

As the Secretary of HECE I coordinate and document meetings and ensure that all of our members are aware of all of our events and have access to all of the resources that HECE has to offer. Some of my responsibilities include taking meeting minutes, curating content for our general body meetings, maintaining our mailing list, and managing our event calendar. I oversee the website development chair and the recruitment chairs to ensure that we are meeting our growth goals.

Projects:

Electronic HisPiano

I love music, I play the guitar and enjoy fun electronics projects that are related to audio. I thought it would be pretty cool to make my very own electronic keyboard using what I learned in my electronics and  microprocessor applications courses. Here are some pictures !!!

I am very proud of this project. It was awesome to be able to tie in different concepts from my coursework . However, I feel like I’m up for a bigger challenge. I want to spend more time on this project and take it to the next level by reworking the framework to allow the selection of different instruments, recording of user input, and improve its play-ability.
